The Ministry of Health has informed that at today's meeting of the Government, the Law on contagious diseases and the Concept document on rare diseases were approved.

Through the adoption of the Law on Contagious Diseases, as announced by the MoH, the modernization and efficient control of contagious diseases has been offered in accordance with EU directives and EC recommendations, which include: developing epidemic intelligence, strengthening human capacities, preventing the spread of cross-border threats, the right management of emergency situations, such as infections acquired within hospitals, antimicrobial resistance, inter-institutional cooperation and the strengthening of microbiological diagnostics, updating the list of contagious diseases and supplementing it with secondary legislation, issuing standards and protocols, issuing standard procedures of operation and the harmonization of misdemeanors that are sanctioned with a fine...
