Today, the last farewell was given to the great Albanian writer, Ismail Kadare.

To honor his life and work, tributes were paid at the National Theater of Opera, Ballet and Popular Ensemble, where the delegation from Kosovo, led by the president, Vjosa Osmani, the prime minister, Albin Kurti, and the speaker of parliament, Glauk Konjufca, participated.

The send-off ceremony continued with the national anthem and the speech of Prime Minister Edi Rama, which, as he said, had been requested by Kadare's wife, Helena.

Prime Minister Rama said that Ismail Kadare raised the Albanian language to its most unreached peak, while Albanian literature in the pantheon of the whole world.

The Prime Minister, Rama, among other things, expressed that he is convinced that Kadare, as long as he lived, said all of what he had to say.

Whereas his country will never let him down.

The first executive of Albania, among other things, declared that the writer Ismail Kadare deserves to rest in an 'apartment' that is only his, and not together with the martyrs.

While speaking about his work, Prime Minister Rama said that Kadare did not receive the Nobel Prize, but remained in the archives of the Nobel Committee minutes.
