The lack of professional staff in the media is directly related to the identification of fake news. This was said on the occasion of the research report "Misinformation, disinformation and fake news in the online media in Kosovo", published by the Council of Written Media of Kosovo (CWMK). The chairman of the CWMK, Imer Mushkolaj, said that during the questionnaires, a lot of problems were observed with which the procedure of preparing a news story is conveyed. "From these questionnaires, it is evident that the lack of links in the preparation of the news and then in the publication of the news is extremely problematic, also the lack of human resources in the media turns out to be a significant problem because it is a kind of security that the news are not not published without verification. Another shortcoming is the lack of cooperation in fact-checking or with organizations dealing with fact-checking," he said. According to him, the recommendations that have emerged from this research will serve the community of journalists and the council.
