On January 29, the French government decided to close the borders and ban entry and exit to France from countries outside the European Union (EU), except in cases of necessity. This was announced by the Kosovo Embassy in Paris.

In addition, the government has ordered the closure of shopping malls larger than 20,000m2. They also warned of much stricter controls during curfew.
