The professor of contemporary history at the University of Verona, Giovanni Bernardini, said that the lesson that Kosovo can learn from the experience of Alto Adige/South Tyrol, to resolve the dispute with Serbia is to find a solution based on the country and the situation, not get ready-made models from abroad.

The professor from Italy, in an interview for KosovaPress, said that reaching an agreement for peace in South Tyrol took tens of years and the duration of the dispute between Kosovo and Serbia should not be seen as something negative, while he wished for this conflict not to last.

Bernardini said that the international community could play a good role in helping to settle a peace deal.
