At the Basic Court in Prishtina, witness Veljo Iliq is set to testify in the “Banjska” case; however, the session has been closed to the public and the media.

Special Prosecutor Naim Abazi requested that the witness testimony be held behind closed doors, citing the sensitivity of the information, including matters of national security.

The presiding judge, Arben Hoti, announced that the court has approved the prosecutor’s request.

Earlier, defense lawyer Ljubomir Pantovic objected to the request.

Meanwhile, the witness Veljo Iliq said that he feels stressed.

Once again today, the defendants Blagoje Spasojevic, Vladimir Tolic, and Dusan Maksimovic were brought to court under heavy security.

So far, several police officers have testified in the case regarding the terrorist attack.

On September 11, 2024, the Special Prosecution of Kosovo filed an indictment against Milan Radoicic and 44 others for the terrorist attack of September 24, 2023, in Banjska, Zveçan, during which police sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed. They are charged with committing a terrorist act, serious offenses against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo, facilitating and financing terrorism, and money laundering. /Sh.
