In today's meeting, the Government of Kosovo approved the Draft Law on the Institute of Crimes Committed During the War in Kosovo. Prime Minister Albin Kurti emphasized that only by respecting the past can there be a bright future.

This institute is expected to document the damage caused during the war to people, community, environment and economy.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, said that the draft law in question defines the competences and responsibilities of the institute.

In his address, the Prime Minister emphasized that next week marks a year and a half of democratic and progressive governance.

He said that through the approved draft laws, the mechanisms for fighting crime and corruption have been strengthened through the reform of the Prosecutorial Council, the more efficient and transparent declaration of wealth, the strengthening of the preventive role of the Anti-Corruption Agency and the initiation of the confiscation of unjustifiable wealth.
