The Government of Kosovo has approved the amended Draft Law for the State Bureau for the Verification and Confiscation of Unjustifiable Assets and the National Program for Comprehensive Protection.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti, at the government meeting on Wednesday, said that the draft law for the Bureau is among the most important of the executive, while adding that despite the tendencies to delay the implementation of this law, the same will be done as a prevention so that the state budget and official position are never misused again

The amendments to the draft law were presented by the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu. She said that in the new draft law for the bureau, only the four articles that were overturned by the Constitutional Court were addressed.

On the other hand, the head of government, speaking about the need to approve the National Program for Comprehensive Defense, said that it aims to build national resilience so that society is prepared to resist, react and recover in cases of natural disasters or armed attacks.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, said that the program does not interfere with the development of the KSF, but enables citizens to voluntarily play their role in the defense and security system.

According to him, this program is based on seven pillars: State functioning in cases of crisis, state organization for the defense of the country, maintenance of vital functions and essential services of the state, state stability, stability of state supplies, protection of the information space, and education of young men and women.

The Government of Kosovo also appointed the director of the Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA) Bekim Hoxha.

In addition to these, the Government also approved the concept document for free legal aid and the Draft Law on accounting, financial reporting and auditing. /KosovaPress/
