The incumbent government of Kosovo has allocated 579 thousand 345 euros for prostheses for war invalids of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). This decision was approved at the electronic meeting of the incumbent government. “With the decision of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the request of the Association of KLA War Invalids for the allocation of financial means in the amount of 579,345.00 € to cover the expenses for the prostheses of the KLA war invalids has been approved.", it is said in the press release from the office of the prime minister. These funds will be used only for the purposes specified at the request of the Association of KLA War Invalids and their use will be monitored by the commitee in this composition, representative from the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare - Chairman, representative from the Ministry of Health - member; director of the Office for Issues of Categories from the KLA War - member; representative from the Association of KLA War Invalids - member. The Commitee will monitor the expenditure of allocated funds and prepare a detailed report to the Government. The decision obliges the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and the Association of KLA War Invalids the implementation. The decision also recommends that the institutions provide permanent solutions for the KLA war invalids in accordance with the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo dated 03.02.2021.
