This morning it was reported about a fire explosion near the International Airport of Prishtina.

It is about a fire in a business facility, where 20 parked cars were burnt.

Kosova Police confirmed the case with material damage, as well as one injured person.

The injured person is one of the co-owners of the "Karting Arena" business, Nexhmedin Geci, who said that he received his injuries while trying to put out the fire.

His injuries included the area of his hands, but he said they are not serious.

He said that the material damages are at least over 200 thousand euros.

Geci points out that the fire was not caused intentionally, but it was ignited in the gasoline dump.

He said that the firefighters had arrived at the scene in about 15 minutes.

The Kosovo Police has confirmed for KosovaPress that today around 01:30, they were notified of a fire incident near Prishtina Airport.

The spokeswoman of the Kosovo Police for the Prishtina region, Flora Ahmeti, said that one person was injured and material damage was caused by the fire in this case.

"The fire destroyed 20 parked cars and a business facility. In this case, one person was injured and material damage was caused. The injured person has been sent for medical treatment, while after locating the fire, the police investigators in coordination with the relevant institutions are conducting the investigations about the case which has been described as causing a general danger", said Ahmeti. /Z.
