Now that the political campaign for the February 9 general elections has unofficially begun, Finland’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Matti Nissinen, advises political leaders not to give voice to false narratives.

According to him, Kosovo needs to create a well-informed electorate and have a democratic process.

These comments were made by Finland’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Matti Nissinen, in the framework of the conference “The Influence of Foreign Actors on National Security” organized by the Kosovar Center for Security Studies (KCSS), in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS).

The Finnish Ambassador said that the European Union will continue to support the constructive efforts of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue to ease tensions between the two countries and promote peaceful coexistence.

The Finnish Ambassador to Kosovo, while expressing his country's support for Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic integration, stressed that such a step is a vital measure for a secure future.
