The director of the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, Avni Kastrati, has warned today that all residents of Kosovo who have refused to be part of the population census will be fined.

In a press conference, he said that it is about hundreds of people who have refused to register, the fine for individuals is 2,000 euros, while for legal entities, organizations and associations up to 20,000 euros, which are expected to be announced within in a few weeks or in September.

Kastrati was asked by the journalists if there are statistics on the number of the population according to ethnic groups, but he said that these details are expected to be published in December of this year.

In addition, Kastrati said that the data from the registration of war damages in Kosovo cannot yet be published. /Z. Zeneli/
