This morning, in front of the Prime Minister's Office in Tirana, the symbolic raising ceremony of the EU flag took place, after the official opening of negotiations for Albania's membership in the European family. This ceremony was attended by members of the government, the majority, diplomatic corps, representatives of religions and other guests.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his speech, said that the raising of the flag of the European Union marks the rise of Albania to another level, not only in relations with the EU, but also with its future, with institutions, freedoms and rights, its security, and development in every direction.
