The driver who is suspected of causing the traffic accident on Sunday morning on the highway near Slavonski Brod in Croatia, in which ten people died, was sent this Monday to the District State Prosecutor's Office. He will be questioned there, where the District State Prosecutor's Office will then make a decision on the further course of proceedings, ie whether to request detention on remand for the driver or to release him. A decision on this will be made on Tuesday morning. As police reported on Sunday, the driver will be prosecuted on suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Article 227 of the Criminal Code - causing a traffic accident for which the maximum sentence is up to 15 years in prison, reports Index.hr.
