The Assembly of Kosovo did not have a quorum to approve the Draft Law on reproductive health and medically assisted fertilization. Several MPs of the majority did not participate in the vote, while ten of them abstained. On the other hand, doubts were raised by opposition MPs about the issue of determining the gender of children with medically assisted fertilization, but the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, denied the allegations, saying that gender determination is prohibited with this draft law.

The Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, said that this legal initiative is important and breaks the status quo in Kosovo for medically assisted fertilization.
