The Government of Kosovo approved on Wednesday the Draft Law for the Security Council in the country, which aims to consolidate and strengthen the security sector.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti emphasized that through this draft law, the way of cooperation and coordination of security structures will be regulated, raising the level of preparation and readiness to respond to threats, risks and challenges to the country's security.

In today's meeting, the executive has approved the Draft Law for the ratification of the third amendment of the financial agreement between Kosovo and the EU, which is related to the IPA 2015 program for the decommissioning of the "Kosova A" thermal power plant.

During the presentation of this draft law, Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi requested that this international agreement be ratified as soon as possible in the Assembly of Kosovo.

In today's meeting, the Government of Kosovo also approved the Draft Law for the ratification of the international agreement for Kosovo's participation in the European Union Program "Digital Europe 2021-2027" between Kosovo and the EU.

The purpose of this agreement is for Kosovo to advance in four specific objectives of the program through EU strategic grants. Within this program, 9.2 billion euros are allocated to the countries of the European Union and the Western Balkans.

In addition, the Government has approved the Draft Law on the status, temporary stay and transit of foreign armed forces in the territory of Kosovo, as well as the Draft Law on consumer protection.
