The new National Development Strategy 2030 is required to be within the orientations and program of the current government, Kurti. In a virtual discussion organized by the GAP Institute and Kosovo 2.0 it was said that the executive should prioritize this strategy, as it aims to set long-term objectives regarding the rule of law, economic, social, environmental and Kosovo's EU membership. But initially it was requested for a review on the achievements and failures of the current National Development Strategy 2016-2021. While it was said that the consequences of the Covid pandemic 19 should also be reflected in the new planning. Senior researcher at the GAP Institute, Blend Hasaj said that this strategy will serve as a guide for other sectoral strategies and government plans. While making public the report on the current strategy, Hasaj said that most of its objectives have not been met, especially in the areas of economic development, employment, trade and foreign direct investment. For this reason, he presented some recommendations and requirements in drafting the new strategy.
