The "Cyber ZERO ll" Security Conference emphasizes the importance of cyber security

For the eighth time, the Cyber Security and Privacy Conference "Cyber ZERO ll" is being held in Pristina. This conference brings together representatives of the region, experts from different countries who talk about the importance of kinetic security.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, stated that the examples of cyber-attacks show the alarming power and impact, for which he added that investments should be made for protection.

He said that the vision of the Government of Kosovo is to create a safe cyber environment for everyone, adding that this vision has also been presented through the National Strategy for Cyber Security 2023-2027.

Meanwhile, the former Albanian Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic mentioned the case of the cyber-attack during 2022, which caused great consequences.

He said that as a result of this attack, thousands of documents were moved from government websites and that most agencies were blocked.

He added that for the first time they have created a regional center for cyber security.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Albanian Cyber Association, Tanzer Abazi, said that during these two days, companies will be invited who talk about cyber security.

On the other hand, the Spokesperson of the American Embassy in Pristina, Katherine Judd, in her speech, said that one of the biggest current challenges is cyber security.

Judd said that the purpose of this conference is to facilitate an environment where best practices can be shared and ideas exchanged to find innovative solutions for addressing Kosovo's pressing cyber security challenges.
