In the Basic Court of Pristina, the initial hearing on the case of the use of tear gas in the Kosovo Assembly in December 2015 has been postponed.

This hearing was postponed in the absence of the Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, Glauk Konjufca. Meanwhile, Pal Lekaj, Time Kadrija, Aida Dërguti, Teuta Haxhiaj and Besa Baftiu were present.

The defence attorney of the Speaker of Parliament, Arbnora Zeqiri, said that Konjufca is on a visit abroad, which is why she requested that the hearing be postponed.

"My client is not present today in this session, because he is on an official visit outside the Republic of Kosovo, and for this we have notified the court with a written request, not hold this session today, but possibly on a closer date or tomorrow, because he is not in the Republic of Kosovo today. Therefore, I inform the court that we are dealing with an indictment from 2016, where my client was a member of parliament. The request to postpone this session was because he also has institutional responsibilities, and represents important processes for the Republic of Kosovo", she said.
