The CEC submits the work report to the Assembly: Finalize the electoral reform!
The Central Election Committee has submitted the work report for last year to the Assembly of Kosovo. In the same report that KosovaPress saw, the CEC has a special request for MPs regarding the electoral reform. The CEC requests from the Assembly that the electoral reform process started years ago be finalized within this mandate. The current laws governing elections, such as the Law on General Elections and the Law on Local Elections, were drafted and adopted in 2008.
CEC spokesman, Valmir Elezi, stated for KosovaPress that they are seeking to finalize the electoral reform, since the adoption of current laws 13 years ago, a total of 8 electoral processes have been organized, while the CEC has faced issues of various natures.
