The 23rd attempt to constitute the ninth legislature of the Assembly has also failed. Even in the latest attempt, the coalition of the Movement Vetëvendosje, Lista Guxo, and Alternativa did not manage to form the Commission for the secret vote of the Assembly Speaker. The current opposition parties did not support Vetëvendosje’s proposal for a secret vote.

The session was interrupted and will continue on May 31 at 10:30 AM.

55 deputies voted in favor of the commission for the secret vote of the Assembly Speaker, one vote was against, and there were no abstentions.

There were 109 deputies present in the plenary hall.

“55 deputies voted in favor, one deputy voted against, no abstentions, we do not have a quorum, the session is interrupted, see you on May 31 at 10:30,” he said.

The coalition of the Movement Vetëvendosje, Lista Guxo, and Alternativa is not managing to secure the 61 votes needed to elect Albulena Haxhiu as Speaker of the Assembly.

The other parties do not agree with this candidacy, considering it a non-unifying and unacceptable candidate.
