The Assembly approved the draft law on state border control
The Assembly of Kosovo has approved in the first reading the draft law on the control of the state border. This draft law was considered vital for the security sector and the way state border surveillance is managed and controlled.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, said that through this draft law, the powers of the police will be strengthened in relation to border control and cooperation with other state bodies.
The opposition MPs of AAK also voted in favor of this draft law, on this occasion the head of the group, Besnik Tahiri, had a message for the majority.
Ironically, Speaker Glauk Konjufca told him to continue and vote for other draft laws as well.
In addition to this, the Assembly also approved in the first reading the draft law on identity cards, where it will be possible for citizens of Kosovo to apply for the issuance of identity cards from the age of 16.
The green light was also given to the Draft Law on the Security Council./KosovaPress/
