The Administration Union does not know who is on strike
The general strike in the country has entered the fourth week, and in this strike, beside teachers, the public administration employees are on strike. However, in the Independent Trade Union of the Administration of Kosovo, they say that they do not know the number of public administration workers at the central and local level who are on strike.
Ali Gashi, head of the Independent Trade
Union of the Administration of Kosovo, has stated for KosovaPress that the
strike is continuing.
Gashi has stated that the strike came from
the Government's failure to listen to requests for drafting and entry into
force as soon as possible of the Salary Law, supplementing and amending the law
on pension schemes and payment of 100 euros until the approval of the Salary
Law.
According to him, the number of local and
central institutions that have gone on strike is unknown.
