For several days now, the data published by the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK), show the large number of people infected with the Covid-19 virus. These numbers are only increasing day by day.

Precisely in order to prevent the spread of this virus, the President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, on March 14, had decided to postpone the date of the extraordinary elections for mayor of Podujeva, which would be held a day later, on March 15. The decision in question came after the CEC's request to postpone these elections, because on the same day, the NIPHK recommended the suspension of these elections in order to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
