Thaçi and others; some statements of the prosecution witness are rejected as evidence
The trial panel in the case against the former
leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) has approved a defense motion of
Rexhep Selimi regarding the exclusion of some evidence which is outside the
time frame of the events presented in the indictment. According to the trial
panel, the admissibility of these evidences may cause unfair prejudice to the
accused.
At the opening of the court session in the
Specialist Chambers in The Hague, the Presiding Judge of the Trial Panel,
Charles L Smith, announced that the hearing of the protected witness, who has
the code W04474, will continue today.
