Tahiri: We will not allow the Serbian regime through Russian influence to hit our country
MP Besnik Tahiri has said that Kosovo expects to become the 47th member of the Council of Europe, adding that the state has shown commitment to dialogue.
At the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Tahiri said that Kosovo is committed to the values and principles of the Council of Europe.
"I would like to start my speech by saying that the Republic of Kosovo stands strong and is fully committed to the values and principles of the Council of Europe. We have incorporated, although we are not a member, the entire human rights chapter of the Council of Europe within our Constitution and legislation, and we expect to be the 47th member that our citizens have the right to refer to the Court for Human Rights, in Strasbourg. As a country, in the last 10 years we have been very committed to dialogue, we have been honest, although we have had a really heavy and terrible war", he said.
