Kosovo Customs Anti-Smuggling Units in cooperation and support of the Kosovo Police have prevented the smuggling of 2400 liters of ethyl alcohol. According to the Kosovo Customs, after identifying a suspected transport vehicle which was traveling from North Mitrovica, the Customs units in cooperation with the Kosovo Police have organized the stopping and checking of this vehicle. "After stopping and checking the vehicle, smuggled goods originating from Serbia were encountered, respectively 96% ethyl alcohol in the amount of 2400 liters. The value of the goods is estimated to be 4300 Euros, while customs duties are in the amount of 14,300.00 Euros. The goods and the vehicle were confiscated. Kosovo Customs in cooperation with the competent authorities will continue to exercise checks in the implementation of its duties and responsibilities, with the sole purpose of preventing illegal activities throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
