Skepticism about Kosovo's advancement under the Slovenian presidency

Slovenia is expected to take over the presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2021. Although a friendly state of Kosovo, the advancement the country's agenda in the visa liberalization process, recognition by the five EU states and dialogue will be hard to reach under Slovenian leadership.

The rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Viola Von-Cramon, expresses uncertainty that Slovenia will lobby for the entire region, especially for Kosovo, during its presidency of the Council of Europe, which is expected to take over the Presidency on July 1 this year.
