The Municipality of Skenderaj is the most transparent for 2022, according to the Democratic Institute of Kosovo (KDI), which published the "Transparency Index for Municipal Governance" on Wednesday.

The KDI announced in a press conference that the municipalities were evaluated on 87 indicators for eight pillars: 1. transparency in public expenditures through public procurement, 2. budget transparency, 3. transparency in municipal grants and subsidies, 4. inclusion of citizens in municipal decision-making, 5. access to public documents, 6. responsibility of municipalities to address the risks of corruption and conflict of interest, 7. management of municipal property, as well as 8) transparency of enterprises and public organizations owned by municipalities.
