Prime Minister Albin Kurti has called the Serbian army’s exercises near the border with Kosovo a provocation and an attempt to undermine territorial integrity.

KosovaPress reported on Wednesday about the unusual exercises, which caused concern among residents of the village of Kacareve.

He stated that the security institutions are prepared and that Kosovo’s border is protected in cooperation with international partners, KosovaPress reports.

“This is a provocation by Serbia, which naturally seeks to undermine the territorial integrity and state sovereignty of our Republic. These are units that have trained the chief criminal and terrorist Milan Radoicic, at the training bases for the killing of Kosovo police officer, hero Afrim Bunjaku. But at the same time, it also shows their weakness. Because in Kosovo there are no longer illegal structures that could threaten institutional stability, territorial integrity, state sovereignty, peace, and security for everyone. And because of this inability to act inside Kosovo, they have now gone around the border trying to demonstrate their strength,” he said in a statement to the media after inaugurating the Vushtrri–Prishtinë road segment.
