Former member of the General Headquarters of the KLA, Rexhep Selimi, has pleaded not guilty before the Specialized Chambers in The Hague, on charges of alleged war crimes. His defense announced that they will seek his temporary release, since as he said, Selimi does not pose a risk of escape.

At the first hearing in The Hague, Selimi said he was just a liberator who had done his duty to liberate the country from the Serbian occupier. The former member of the Assembly of Kosovo told the judge that he started the war with Adem Jashari and ended it with NATO.
