Saracini: Izet Gjinovci managed to internationalize Kosovar handball

The commemorative meeting was held on the occasion of the death of the secretary of the Handball Federation, Izet Gjinovci. On this occasion, the leaders of this federation highly appreciated Gjinovci's contribution to sport in Kosovo. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Culture assessed that Gjinovci was an inspiration and a key pillar in handball.

The president of the Handball Federation, Eugen Saracini, recalling the joint work with Gjinovci, emphasized that the deceased has made a special contribution to the federation.

He emphasized that Izet Gjinovci managed to internationalize Kosovar handball.

Likewise, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Daulina Osmani emphasized that Izet Gjinovci was an inspiration and a key pillar in handball.

The wife of the deceased, Izet Gjinovci, Valbona Gjinovci, with tears in her eyes, thanked everyone for participating in the commemorative meeting. She emphasized that "I was not his great love, because Gjinovci's big heart beat for handball".

Otherwise, Izet Gjinovci has contributed to the rapid development of the national handball teams, with two historic qualifications in the World Cup and reaching higher and higher levels with the A National Teams.

Izet Gjinovci passed away on Monday morning. He held the position of secretary general of the Kosovo Handball Federation from 2002 until his last breath. The deceased dedicated his whole life to handball.

The funeral of Izet Gjinovci takes place on Tuesday from 17:00 at the cemetery of the village of Makërmal in the Municipality of Skënderaj.
