"Run Santa Claus", 250 needy families will be helped for the end of the year

About 3,500 citizens dressed as Santa Claus ran today along the eighth edition of "Run Santa Claus" with the motto "Be Santa Claus, make a family smile", as a result of which 250 families in need and the pediatric hematology ward will be helped.

The Mayor of Prishtina, Përparim Rama, told KosovaPress that through this humanitarian initiative, 250 needy families in Kosovo and the pediatric hematology department will be helped for the end of the year holidays.

The founder and organizer of the "Run Santa Claus" activity, Jusuf Islami, said that through today's activity, families in need and the pediatric department will be helped with beds for foster mothers.

Ismali announced that they intend for this activity to have an even larger number of participants in the future.

Moreover, Santa's costumes were available for purchase from December 5 until yesterday at "Zahir Pajaziti" square, Prishtina.

The Santa Clauses participating in this humanitarian activity ran from the "George Bush" square to the Cathedral, passing through the "Martyrs of the Nation" boulevard and returning to the flag circle. /A. Shala/
