Robinson: The US is working for a stronger and more transparent Kosovo
The US Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Todd D. Robinson, stated that the US is in Kosovo to support efforts to build important security and justice structures.
Robinson, after the visit he made to the president of the country, Vjosa Osmani, said that they are in our country for a better Kosovo, whereas the head of state asked him for support for Kosovo's membership in INTERPOL.
At the joint conference, Osmani reiterated the importance of Kosovo's membership in the International Organization INTERPOL. According to her, this membership would contribute to increasing the country's capacities by improving the institutional response to crime and guaranteeing public safety for every citizen of the country.
The head of the state said that the assistant secretary, Robinson was among the people who contributed over the years to the development of Kosovo.
Osmani also said that during the meeting she reiterated Kosovo's strategic goal of joining INTERPOL.
While listing the country's achievements, Osmani said that nothing would be possible without the support of the USA.
The US diplomat will also hold a meeting with representatives of the judicial system, prosecutorial system, and the Kosovo Correctional Service.
