Reprimanding measures for illegal license plates, this decision of the Government of Kosovo for those who refuse to convert them to 'RKS', has officially entered into force.

The Government of Kosovo took the decision to scale up the implementation of the decision on Serbian car license plates on Friday.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla, has said that the Police of Kosovo, in accordance with the new government decision and the legislation in force, for all owners of vehicles that circulate with illegal license plates, begins to pronounce the measure of reprimand, with the request that the same to go to any of the Vehicle Registration Centers to register their vehicles with RKS license plates.

"I call on all our citizens who own vehicles equipped with illegal license plates 'PR', 'KM', 'PZ', 'GL', 'UR', 'PE', 'DA' or 'ĐA' from June 10 from 1999 until April 21, 2022, to register their vehicles with RKS license plates and thus successfully complete this process that contributes directly to public safety, traffic safety and the return of legality to the country. I encourage citizens not to remain hostage to political interests and criminal groups, but to use all facilities and register their means at all Registration Centers, regardless of residence or place of residence," he wrote on Facebook.
