Today was the inauguration of renovations worth 1.2 million euros in the Urology Clinic at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK).

Investments in this clinic were considered important for patients and health staff.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, also participated in the inauguration ceremony, for which he assessed that these repairs are crucial for the recovery of patients and the professional care provided by doctors and nurses.

Kurti said that for 20 years in Urology Clinic there were no investments but only degradation of conditions.

The Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, said that he took the decision to renovate the Urology Clinic after expressing concerns from this clinic that the conditions are bad and that there is no investment for years.

For these investments, Vitia said that they are the result of the requests of the health staff of this clinic.

Vitia emphasized that the operating rooms of the Urology Clinic will also be opened next week, and thus, according to him, this clinic, which is the most problematic in terms of infrastructure, is becoming a model clinic in UCCK.

Renovations to the Urology Clinic began in December 2023.

They include the repair of the waiting areas and the reorganization of the counter, the operating rooms - the relocation of the ESEL (the device for breaking stones) and the cystoscopy in the location of the basement of the Surgery, as well as the renovation of the rooms and toilets.
