Starting today, voter registration for citizens outside Kosovo for the June 7 elections has begun, the spokesperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Valmir Elezi, has announced.
Elezi said that voters living abroad will be able to register until May 17.
“Registration of voters outside Kosovo will begin today, May 6, and will end on May 17. So, during this 12-day period, all Kosovo citizens living abroad can apply to register as voters outside Kosovo, in order to vote either in person at one of the diplomatic missions or by mail. At the time of registration, the applicant can individually choose how they wish to vote in this election process,” he said.
In addition to this process, Elezi announced that voters also have 12 days starting today to change their polling center.The CEC spokesperson, Valmir Elezi, also noted that voters can confirm or challenge the voter list.
From May 1 to May 7, political entities have time to notify the CEC of their participation in the electoral process or declare whether they will run as part of a coalition.
