Rama: Today we must commemorate the heroes who committed themselves for an independent Kosovo
The Municipality of Prishtina held a solemn session on Saturday, in honor of the 16th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence.
The mayor of the capital, Përparim Rama, said that February 17 is an important date for all Albanians. While recalling the activists who have committed themselves to the independence of Kosovo, Rama asked for political unity, as he said, to build a Kosovo with a European future.
On the other hand, the chairman of the Municipal Assembly in Prishtina, Pëllumb Bajçinovci, said that February 17 is a historical date that became the foundation of freedom, peace and love.
In addition to this solemn session, the Municipality of Prishtina has planned several other cultural activities in honor of the 16th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence. /KosovaPress/
