Rama signed cooperation agreements with five municipalities
The mayor of Prishtina, Përparim Rama, has signed an inter-municipal and multifunctional cooperation agreement with the five mayors of the municipalities of Podujeva, Lipjan, Fushe Kosova, Graçanica and Obiliq. He said that this agreement includes action plans for each area of cooperation. Rama said that together they will discuss the problems about stray dogs, waste management and the problem with urban traffic.
The mayor of the capital, Përparim Rama, emphasized that this agreement will present a good example of the cooperation of the municipalities.
In the framework agreement of inter-municipal cooperation, Rama added that the key problems of these municipalities will also be discussed in depth.
Further, Rama said that the waste management project has been operationalized and the plot has been allocated and the tools for the construction waste collection and treatment center have been budgeted.
Meanwhile, Meghan McCormack from the Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Kosovo (OSCE) said that inter-municipal agreements are an important mechanism for local governance.
This inter-municipal agreement was signed by the mayor of Lipjan, Imri Ahmeti, the mayor of Obiliq, Xhafer Gashi, the mayor of Podujeva, Shpejtim Bulliqi, the vice-mayor of Graçanica, Leutrim Ajeti and of Fushe Kosova, Besnik Osmani.
