The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has also insisted at the Prespa Forum, in Northern Macedonia, on the formation of the Balkan mini-Schengen. Before the regional leaders, Rama said that the Western Balkans does not have to wait for the European Union to have freedom of movement of people and capital, to give potential to the citizens of every country in the region. His counterparts from Serbia and northern Macedonia also supported it.

Rama said that this regional cooperation is not an overlap of the EU, but only a push forward for the region.
