On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, Raiffeisen Insurance Broker Kosovo, the first insurance intermediary in the Kosovo market, inaugurated the renovation of the courtyard of the Home for the Elderly in Prishtina — a socially oriented investment that marks the company’s commitment to the community.
This project was carried out in cooperation with the insurance companies Sigal and Sigal Life, Sigma Vienna Insurance Group, and Eurosig, close partners of Raiffeisen Insurance Broker Kosovo.
During the inauguration ceremony, the Executive Director of Raiffeisen Insurance Broker, Donika Hasani, emphasized the importance of this symbolic investment, which holds long-term value and impact.She also reminded of the challenges that this category faces in the field of insurance.
“While we were discussing what and how to mark this anniversary, for us it was very important to do something that has value and long-term impact, and this is the reason why we decided to jointly support the idea of arranging the garden of the nursing home here in Prishtina. In the field of insurance, we all know that unfortunately a part of society that is excluded from our products is precisely the category of people over the age of sixty-five, for whom everyone knows we must have increased care and proper respect,” said Hasani. Hasani also mentioned her partners, without whom this investment would not have been possible.“This investment, of course, would not have been possible without the support of our partners. When I say our partners, I am talking about the insurance companies with whom we have managed to build a very good cooperation, namely the insurance company Sigal and Sigal Life, also the insurance company SIGMA Vienna Insurance Group, and the insurance company EUROSIG,” added Hasani.
The Director of Social Welfare in the Municipality of Prishtina, Adelinë Sahiti, highly appreciated this initiative, calling it a strong example of social responsibility.
“Thank you immensely from the heart for all this investment, which means a lot to us. Why does it mean so much? Because we are talking about a category that needs every day to feel the helping hand not only of the state but also of businesses and of the entire community... When the environment is pleasant, when we have green external spaces, of course it also gives additional motivation to the staff, but also to the residents, who when they go out should have dignified spaces where they can walk, spend, and spend a large part of their time,” said Sahiti. Meanwhile, the Director of the Home for the Elderly, Raze Aliçkaj, thanked Raiffeisen Insurance Broker from the heart for this much-needed intervention, emphasizing the need for such a beautiful and clean garden for the elderly in the home.“It is a very sensitive institution, a very needy category, which in addition to the 24-hour services it provides, also needs a beautiful, green, and clean environment. Therefore, we sincerely thank the insurance brokers of Raiffeisen Bank,” added Aliçkaj.
The emotion was also shared by one elderly resident of the institution, Fate Maxhuni from Gjakova.Maxhuni expressed that during her one and a half years of stay, the courtyard was in poor condition, but now with the investment of Raiffeisen Insurance Broker, they have a clean environment with chairs to relax.
“Today I woke up very happy. I thank Raiffeisen Bank for taking this initiative, for improving this place... For a year and a half, the condition of the yard was very bad, no benches, nothing. Now it’s very good, very wonderful — with chairs, with trees, everything is in order. Better than in a private home for the elderly, whoever contributes, it is very good,” said Maxhuni.
