The Basic Prosecution in Pristina has authorized the Kosovo Police to begin an investigation into the postal voting process in the parliamentary elections of February 9th.

This was announced to KosovaPress by the spokesperson of the Basic Prosecution in Pristina, Kaltrina Shala.

"Regarding your question, we inform you that the Basic Prosecution in Pristina has authorized the Kosovo Police to collect and verify information. However, at this stage of the procedure, no further details can be provided as it would compromise the investigation process," her response to KosovaPress states.

The Vetevendosje Movement (LVV) has accused the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) of manipulating postal votes. Currently, they have filed a complaint with the Supreme Court, requesting the annulment of the LDK's postal votes and a re-vote by mail.

However, the accusations from LVV have been consistently denied by the Democratic League of Kosovo.

In the February 9th elections, the Kosovo diaspora voted through diplomatic representations and by postal voting.

In diplomatic representations, LVV received over 80 percent, and the LDK was third with 7.3 percent of the votes.

Meanwhile, in postal voting, LVV received 51.89 percent, while the LDK received 30.21 percent./KosovaPress
