President Osmani receives letters of credence from the Ambassador of Norway
The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has received the letters of credence from the new Ambassador of Norway to the Republic of Kosovo, Arne Sannes Bjornstad.
During the official ceremony, President Osmani congratulated the ambassador on his new post and emphasized the commitment of Kosovo’s institutions to strengthening the bilateral partnership.
According to the announcement from the Office of the President of Kosovo, Osmani praised Norway as one of Kosovo’s most important and long-standing partners, expressing gratitude for the continuous support that Norway has provided over the years, both in developing various programs and in Kosovo’s processes of joining international organizations.
“The meeting also included discussions on the latest developments in Kosovo, as well as on opportunities for expanding and deepening cooperation between Kosovo and Norway in various fields,” the statement reads.
In conclusion, both parties reaffirmed their readiness to further advance the friendly relations and strategic partnership between the two states.
The Consul General of Norway in Kosovo, Taulant Hodaj, wrote that he had the honor of accompanying His Excellency, Ambassador Arne Sannes Bjornstad, during his visit to Prishtina for the Ceremony of the Presentation of Credentials and the submission of the protocol copies to the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to Hodaj, Ambassador Bjornstad, who serves as Norway’s Ambassador to Croatia, will from today also cover the Republic of Kosovo—a significant step that further strengthens the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
He said that until now, Kosovo was covered by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Turkey; therefore, this development marks a new phase in our bilateral cooperation.
“It is a special privilege for me, in my capacity as the Consul General of Norway in Kosovo, to be part of this diplomatic moment and to continue the commitment to strengthening our friendly and institutional ties,” Hodaj wrote.
