President Begaj is honored with the title 'Citizen of Honor' by the municipality of Deçan
The Municipality of Deçan has declared the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, "Citizen of Honor". The assembly of this municipality assessed that Begaj is one of the personalities with the greatest human and political credibility not only in Albania, but in all Albanian lands. The merit for this title, according to them, comes because Begaj is among the most unifying figures of Albanians and that he honors the Albanian state everywhere in the world.
After accepting this award, Begaj expressed his appreciation and privilege for receiving the title of "Citizen of Honor" from the Municipality of Deçan.
He said that this title will encourage him to continue working even harder to make Kosovo a part of international organizations.
Begaj added that Deçan is a town where the first rifles of the Kosovo Liberation Army were fired and the place where faithful people and true legends of patriotism were born.
The mayor of this municipality, Bashkim Ramosaj, said that Deçan has done a lot for the freedom of Kosovo. Ramosaj, while thanking Begaj for his presence in this session, asked for his support to move towards success.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj said that the presence of Begaj and the opportunity to show him the good things of Deçan, make this Sunday a different day from the others.
During the day, the former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Bajram Begaj paid homage at the Martyrs' Memorial Complex in Gllogjan.
