Deputies of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) have gathered at the party’s headquarters to discuss the issue of electing the president. This meeting comes one hour after the third meeting between the LDK leader, Lumir Abdixhiku, and the Prime Minister and also leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV), Albin Kurti, concluded, KosovaPress reports.
LDK deputy Anton Quni said that he will respect any decision made by the LDK leadership regarding the presidency, including the possibility of voting for Vjosa Osmani for a second term.
Another deputy, Armend Zemaj, spoke briefly to the media. He said there are many names he would recommend for president from within LDK. Zemaj emphasized that first there will be a vote for LDK’s presidential candidates, and then they will look beyond.
“There are many names in LDK that I would recommend; many are deserving, from the first to the last. I have a vote for the people of LDK, and then we’ll see beyond,” he said.
