The Specialist Prosecutor’s Office will submit the preliminary file on the case of Pjetër Shala on January 28, 2022. This decision was taken at today's conference on the progress of the case in the Specialist Chambers in The Hague, with a request for postponement by the SPO and which was not opposed by the defense.

Former member of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Pjetër Shala was arrested on March 16, 2021 by Belgian authorities and transferred to The Hague on April 15, where he is being held in custody, but the prosecution has not yet completed its investigation and is not ready to submit the preliminary file on November 19, as scheduled...
