Philips: Only the US has the capacity to compel a final agreement with Serbia

The Director of Peace-Building and Human Rights Program, Columbia University's Institute for the Study of Human Rights of New York, David Philips, stated today that they expect the final Kosovo-Serbia agreement to be reached this year, for which he said that only the US has the capacity to push it forward.

At a roundtable organized by the LDK on "Strengthening the sovereignty and independence of Kosovo", Philips expressed his conviction that the final agreement will result in mutual recognition.
