US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Palmer has promised the strong US support for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. He said the US continues to believe that the ultimate goal of dialogue is mutual recognition. However, the US envoy for the Western Balkans said the parties involved in the dialogue must identify compromises to reach a final agreement. On the second day of his stay in Kosovo, Palmer said that it is not up to the US to identify the compromises that will be needed for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
