In December last year, 2,143 births were registered (inside and outside Kosovo). Of these registered births, 1,069 were male and 1,074 were female.

According to the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, a total of 985 deaths were registered (inside and outside Kosovo). Of the registered deaths, 504 were male and 481 were female, KosovaPress reports.

KAS will continue to collect data through special statistical questionnaires, for Births DEM-1, Deaths DEM-2, Marriages DEM-3, and Divorces SHK-1, as before. Data collection continues to be done every month and will serve to create a database, as well as comparison with administrative data. KAS says that the source of data for this publication is the Kosovo Civil Registry Agency (ARC).
