Osmani: The draft statute for the association should go to the Constitutional Court
President Vjosa Osmani said before the meeting of the EU summit with the Western Balkans in Brussels, that Kosovo is committed to the process of normalizing relations with Serbia, as the draft statute of the association of municipalities with a Serbian majority must go to the Constitutional Court of Kosovo.
In a press conference, the first of our country called it important to impose punitive measures against official Belgrade and to strengthen the control of the border with Serbia, in order to prevent the introduction of weapons and groups similar to those of the September 24 attacks in Banjska.
She also spoke about the dialogue process mediated by the European Union, for which she said that Kosovo is a constructive party.
While speaking about the draft statute for the establishment of the association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, President Osmani said that this document should be reviewed by the Constitutional Court and it should be ensured that there will be no creation of a Serbian Republic.
